First Painting of my Girl

It's been 10 days.
On Friday, I picked up Nellie's ashes. Right now her box is sitting on my side table.
This last weekend, I spent a lot of time in bed with a horrible cold. I miss my Nurse Nellie.
I have not had much of a chance to do any painting for the last 6 months. When I have been home, Nellie has wanted to cuddle. And when the Queen wants to cuddle, that is what you do.
Yesterday afternoon I got out my paints and here is my first painting of Nellie.

I am hoping to do a series - and when the right one resonates, I will create a huge painting like I did of my Sammy.

Love Barb

  15. Barb that is just wonderful....it's certainly captured her expression and the "atmosphere" around her. She had a presence that is difficult to capture on canvas but you knew and "felt" her more than anyone else ever could or did - infuse the whole thing with love (which you have done) and voila....the beginning of a Nellie series! I know how empty the house feels. But she's there.

    Love and Hugs, Pam
