Me and My Easter Bunny

Speedy and mes has been having a Grand Old Time getting ready to celebrates Bunny Day
(or as the people’s calls it – EASTER). Hes posting about our get together too!
Mes went to his house in England.

His Mommy made mes the bestest Salmon (mes let Speedy eats my salad).

Then wes did some research...Mes always wondered WHY bunnys is part of Easter, wes finded out

… Since ancient times rabbits have been associated with spring. It is believed that Anglo-Saxon Goddess of Spring, Eostre had a hare as her companion. The hare symbolizes fertility and rebirth. Later Christians changed the symbol of the hare to the Easter bunny! Easter eggs and the Easter Bunny both were featured in the spring festivals of Ostara, which were initially held during the feasts of the goddess Ishtar | Inanna. Eggs are obvious symbols of fertility, and the newborn chicks an adorable representation of new growth. Brightly colored eggs, chicks, and bunnies were all used at festival time to express appreciation for Ostara's gift of abundance.
 Too cool!
Us cats used to bes Egyptian Gods so was Bunnies!
AND bunnys was companions to a number of different Goddesses (Freya, Artimis, Aphrodite, Bridgid and the Virgin Mary to name a few!).

This year, wes thought wes Surprise our Mummys with special Easter Eggs!!
